Zero browsing telemetry
SoundPrint Guard does not transmit or monetize your browsing history, visited URLs, search queries, audio content, or audio fingerprint values.
1. Our privacy commitment
The extension's cryptographic derivation and audio readback protection run locally in your browser. We do not operate a browsing analytics pipeline for the extension and do not use the extension to build advertising profiles.
We do not collect page content, form submissions, microphone recordings, speaker output, hardware serial numbers, or third-party advertising identifiers.
2. Information stored locally
SoundPrint Guard uses the browser's isolated extension storage for functionality you request:
- Master seed: a randomly generated 256-bit value used to derive site identities.
- Settings: protection state, intensity, and compatibility preferences.
- Domain rules: sites you pause or exclude.
- Local probe activity: a capped list of recent protected readbacks, which you can clear.
- License state: the entered key, active tier, and last validation result.
This local information can be removed from the extension settings or by uninstalling the extension.
3. Accounts, licensing, and payments
If you create a customer portal account, the service stores the account information you provide, authentication records needed to keep the account secure, orders, license keys, and random device activation tokens.
During paid activation and periodic entitlement checks, the extension sends only the entered license key and a random device token to our licensing service. It does not send your email address, browsing history, visited domains, or audio fingerprint values.
Payment details are handled by the configured payment provider. SoundPrint Guard does not store full card numbers or card security codes. A single-use checkout return secret securely links a confirmed purchase to the signed-in customer; only a cryptographic hash of that secret is stored by our service.
4. Browser permissions
storagesaves the local seed, settings, domain rules, and license state.alarmsschedules user-selected identity rotation and periodic paid entitlement checks.- Page access on visited websites allows the interception layer to run before fingerprinting scripts. It is not used to collect or upload browsing history.
Permissions are used only to provide the extension's protection and controls.
5. Retention and your rights
You can view and delete local extension data at any time. Account holders can manage devices and licenses in the customer portal and can request access, correction, or deletion of account information where applicable.
Legal retention requirements may apply to completed transaction records. Security logs are retained only as needed to protect the service and investigate abuse.
